Korean biotech company: HAIRREGEON and HERIBON brands
CK Regeon Inc. is a Korean biotech company founded in 2016 in Seoul (Yonsei Engineering Research Park). It is led by Professor Kang-Yell Choi, a Wnt-signalling researcher with more than twenty years of experience in regenerative science. The company’s cosmetics portfolio is united under the DermaRegeon name and consists of two lines: HAIRREGEON for the professional channel and HERIBON for daily home care.
Behind both lines sit ten years of Wnt-signalling research, five patents in the US, the EU, Korea and China, and — as stated by the company — regulatory notifications secured across nine countries. The "WNT ON" technology works through the CXXC5 protein: PTD-DBM and KY19382 disrupt its binding to Dishevelled and restore suppressed Wnt/β-catenin signalling in scalp cells. The mechanism is described in peer-reviewed journals — Journal of Investigative Dermatology (2017), British Journal of Pharmacology (2020 and 2021), Cells (2023) and Journal of Experimental Medicine (2015).
Important for accurate communication: the published research describes the mechanism of action of the components at a preclinical level — cell culture, ex vivo and pilot-study observations — and does not confirm the clinical efficacy of the finished products. HAIRREGEON and HERIBON are made and sold as cosmetics, not medical devices, and are not positioned as a cure for alopecia.

HAIRREGEON
A professional line for intensive cosmetic scalp care — for clinics, salons and trichology studios. The flagship is the PTD-DBM Hair Booster: a two-part set of a vial with 200 mg of lyophilised powder and a 5 ml diluent vial, five sets per box. It is mixed immediately before the session; the company recommends pairing it with MTS microneedling at 0.5–1.5 mm every two weeks and notes that a visible result is usually observed after twelve weeks of treatment. Manufactured to ISO 22716, 36-month shelf life.
Open profile →HERIBON
A daily "WNT ON" home-care line in four steps, in order of use: scalp scaler 300 ml, shampoo 500 ml, hair treatment 250 ml and a leave-in tonic 50 ml. Suitable for every scalp type — sensitive, oily and dry; free from parabens, sulfates and artificial colorants. Shelf life is 36 months unopened; after opening the company recommends use within 12 months.
Open profile →"WNT ON" technology
The company’s own development. PTD-DBM and KY19382 inhibit CXXC5, which the company identifies as a key driver of hair loss, and restore suppressed Wnt/β-catenin signalling in scalp cells — moving the pathway from "WNT OFF" to "WNT ON".
PTD-DBM peptide
The active component of the professional HAIRREGEON line. Its competitive CXXC5-binding mechanism is described at a preclinical level in a Journal of Investigative Dermatology (2017) publication.
MetaAct and KY19382
MetaAct, a PKM2 activator, works alongside PTD-DBM in HAIRREGEON and amplifies Wnt-pathway activation. KY19382 is the active component of HERIBON, patented in the US, the EU, Korea and China; the reddish tone of HERIBON products comes from KY19382 itself, not from a colorant.
Patents and publications
Five registered patents in the US, the EU, Korea and China — covering the WNT Hair composition and the PTD-DBM peptide itself. The mechanism is described in four peer-reviewed journals: Journal of Investigative Dermatology (2017), British Journal of Pharmacology (2020 and 2021), Cells (2023) and Journal of Experimental Medicine (2015).
