Packaging in Two to Three Months Instead of Six: Inside COCOSPACK's Full-Cycle Production

Molds, injection molding, blow molding, printing and assembly under one roof: how Korean packaging manufacturer COCOSPACK moves from sketch to production run twice as fast as the industry.

For a new cosmetic product, packaging is often the slowest link: while contractors pass the project from one to another, six months go by. Korea's COCOSPACK Co., Ltd. goes from sketch to a market-ready run in two to three months, against the industry standard of five to six. Here is how.

The entire cycle under one roof

The company has been operating since 2010, employs more than 160 people and runs three sites: the head plant in Hwaseong, a production facility in Ujeong and a sales center with its own R&D in Gwancheon. Planning, design, mold making, injection molding, blow molding, printing, assembly and quality control are all performed on its own capacities.

When production stages never leave the company, contractor markups and the time lost moving between shops drop out of the cost. Hence the advantage in lead time: the project does not sit in someone else's queue.

The equipment fleet

The figures according to the company: 47 injection molding machines with clamping force from 110 to 380 tonnes, 22 blow molding machines, 30 printing systems, 16 labeling lines, 47 take-out robots and 16 assembly zones, including eight conveyor lines. Two-stage blow molding and injection blow molding in a single mold are available, which enables non-standard bottle shapes.

An in-house tooling team designs and adjusts molds on site, so complex geometry and revisions are handled without a subcontractor and without waiting.

Who already orders here

According to the company, more than 220 brands work with its packaging, including TIRTIR and APR. Products pass audits by global brands, and quality control covers formula compatibility, leak and pump endurance testing, including three leak testing units.

Certifications include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22716 and ISO 15378; the latter standard also opens the pharmaceutical channel.

How to start a project

The minimum run is 10,000 units, negotiable depending on the product design. The COCOSPACK profile with a catalog of 29 series is published on the Teranova platform: send a request describing your product, and we will agree the design, timeline and price with the factory.
